
In File Renamer's UI (User Interface) you can browse folders like in windows explorer. Select the folder in which you would like to rename files.
You can see files in File Grid (Right panel). You can see files's Meta data also. You can short sequence files on any columns. Like you can sort your list of digital photos on date picture taken.
The default setting in the File Filter shows "All Files(*.*)" in the folder. If you want to see specific type of files in your folder then you can select that type of files in filter. You can able to see file types you have selected in filter.
If you have selected "Show Hidden Folders" then you can see Hidden folders also. If you want to rename Files or Folders in Sub folders then select "Include Sub folder" check box.
If you have selected "Include Sub folder" then another Check box appears for "Reset Number in each Folder". Please understand what is 'Include sub folder' with "Reset Number in each Folder". This feature is for renaming files with Alphabetic and Numeric sequence (Alphanumeric Tab options).
If you have selected 'Reset Number in each Folder' then sequence number will be reset in each folder. Please see example below.

You need to search files in sub folder before renaming it. When you start renaming File renamer only rename files which you can see in File Grid. So if you want to rename files in sub folder as well then you need to search those files using 'Search' option. You can also search specific type of files using Filter option.
